French Language Services Directorate

Minister responsible for the French Language Services Directorate (FLSD) Elaine Taylor at the Takhini River Lodge, with proprietors Christiane and Jean-Marc Champeval. The Champevals are the 2011 recipients of the Binet-Dugas Award for providing services in French, an annual award sponsored by the FLSD. Minister Taylor presented the award to the Champevals at the 2011 Gala de la francophonie, held on November 11th, at the Yukon Arts Centre in Whitehorse.

French Language Services and the Department of Education are pleased to announce that the Advanced Education Branch’s web pages are now available in French. This site includes information about student financial assistance, apprenticeship training and tradesperson qualifications, summer employment and programs for students, labour market programs and services, community training funds, and the Yukon Nominee Program for Immigration.
