French Language Services Directorate
Overview
About us
The French Language Services Directorate does not provide services directly to the public.
Our mandate is to support the Yukon government’s departments, corporations and other bodies in meeting the requirements of the Languages Act.
This is how we do it:
- We provide advice on the strategic planning and delivery of services in French;
- We negotiate and manage funding agreements with the Government of Canada on the development, enhancement and implementation of French language rights and services;
- We provide translation, revision and French Web coordination services.
Our vision
A Yukon in which French-speaking citizens have access to relevant Yukon government information and services in French and are thus able to participate in the social and economic fabric of Yukon.
